About Fold & Finch

Fold & Finch is run by sisters Emma and Diane from a small studio near Kelso in the Scottish Borders.

Every lampshade is made to order using Cambridge Imprint and other papers and fabrics chosen for pattern as much as practicality - nothing here is trying to blend in. Emma does the business stuff - the website, the orders, the socials - the parts of running a small business that don't involve scissors. Diane does much of the making with Emma chipping in when it's busy.

We started Fold & Finch because we couldn't find lampshades with any personality in them - much on the market was either beige or forgettable. So we made our own: modern, a bit unexpected with attention to detail.

Every piece is made to order, one at a time, in our studio. If you want something specific - a fabric that isn't in our current range, a size you can't see on the website do get in touch.
